St Mark's is located within the campus of the James Cook University. The University stands in a delightful, natural setting, and the College comfortably blends into this environment. As a wildlife sanctuary, birdlife is abundant whilst the College campus has regular visits from wallabies, possums, bandicoots and other wildlife.

Our residents are only a few minutes walk from the hub of the University.

As a small College of 154 residents, St Mark's offers a welcoming, friendly and accepting ethos where students from all over Australia, but particularly from North Queensland, can meet international students from a range of countries.

Inter-College sport is taken seriously with the College competing for the Fisher Shield in swimming, water polo, netball, cross-country, men's and women's rugby, touch footy and  basketball. Whilst competition can be intense, members of College participateeither on the field or by supporting their friends who are competing.
