"A good College has to go well beyond that to provide encouragement for academic excellence, an environment where members of College can be exposed to intellectual stimulation through encountering a range of interesting visitors and speakers; personal development opportunities; opportunities for personal growth; facilitation of growth to personal autonomy and beyond that to a sense of commitment to other people and to ideals of justice and altruism."
